2) Scope

This policy applies to information processed in connection with:

  • the Nerix app and its features;
  • customer support communications; and
  • any in-app web pages or websites we operate that reference this policy.

3) Age requirement (17+)

The Services are intended for individuals who are at least 17 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 17. If you believe a minor has provided personal information to us, contact us and we will take steps to delete it.

4) What Nerix does

Nerix is a unique and innovative app that transforms your photos into personalized English name suggestions using advanced AI algorithms. Simply upload a portrait and provide a brief description, and Nerix generates tailor-made name ideas intended to reflect personality and style.

5) Information we collect

We collect information in three main ways: (A) information you provide, (B) information collected automatically, and (C) information from permissions you choose to grant.

5.1) Information you provide

  • Account information: name (if you choose to provide it), username, email address.
  • Support content: information you include when you contact us (messages, attachments, troubleshooting details).
  • AI feature inputs: photos/portraits you upload and any text you provide (e.g., descriptions or prompts) when you choose to use the AI name generation feature.

5.2) Information collected automatically

  • Device information: device model, operating system version, app version, language, time zone, and similar attributes.
  • Usage data and analytics: feature interactions, session information, and performance metrics.
  • Crash logs and diagnostics: diagnostic information when the app crashes or experiences errors.
  • Network data: IP address and similar network information.

5.3) Location information (only if you allow)

  • Precise location, or
  • Approximate location.

You can change location permissions at any time in your device settings.

5.4) Cookies, web beacons, and similar technologies (where applicable)

If the Services include an in-app browser, web-based login, or web pages, we may use cookies and similar technologies (which may include web beacons) to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and support basic functionality and security.

6) Photos, face data, and AI-assisted processing

Key points: We do not do face recognition or biometrics. You decide whether to upload. Uploaded photos/text are processed on servers operated by Nerix Team, not shared with third parties for processing, and deleted promptly after the requested output is generated.

6.1) No face recognition or biometrics

  • We do not perform face recognition, identity verification, or biometric identification.
  • We do not create or store biometric templates from your photos.

6.2) Where processing happens and third-party sharing

  • When you choose to upload a photo and/or submit text for AI name generation, your photo and text are processed on servers operated by Nerix Team.
  • We do not share your uploaded photos or text inputs with any third party for processing, and we do not allow third parties to access or use them.

6.3) One-time processing, deletion, and your control

  • You control whether you upload content and whether you generate outputs.
  • We process your uploaded photo and text inputs only to provide the output you request.
  • After processing is completed, we delete uploaded photos and related text inputs from our servers promptly.

6.4) Local storage, training, and marketing

  • By default, generated results are stored locally on your device (subject to your device settings). You can delete them at any time.
  • We do not use your uploaded photos, text inputs, or outputs to train machine learning models.
  • We do not use your uploaded photos or outputs for advertising or marketing without your explicit consent.

7) How we use information

We use information for the following purposes:

  • Provide and maintain the Services (including account creation, login, and core features).
  • Personalize your experience (such as saving preferences).
  • Improve the Services (including performance, debugging, and feature development).
  • Security and fraud prevention (including abuse detection and protecting users).
  • Customer support (responding to requests and troubleshooting).
  • Legal compliance (responding to lawful requests and enforcing our terms).

We do not sell personal information.

8) How we share information

We share information only as necessary and with minimum required scope:

  • With your consent: when you direct us to or explicitly consent.
  • With service providers (processors): vendors that support infrastructure, security, and customer support under contractual obligations and confidentiality requirements. However, uploaded photos and text inputs used for AI name generation are not shared with any third party for processing.
  • For legal reasons: to comply with law, regulation, or legal process.
  • To protect rights and safety: to protect users, the Services, and our rights.
  • Business transfers: in connection with mergers, acquisitions, reorganizations, or asset sales, subject to protections.

9) International data transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent mechanisms.

10) Security

We implement reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, including:

  • encryption in transit and, where appropriate, at rest;
  • access controls and least-privilege access;
  • regular security reviews/audits; and
  • backups and disaster recovery measures.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information.

11) Data retention

  • Account data: retained for the duration of your account.
  • After account deletion: we delete or anonymize personal information within 30 days (unless longer retention is required by law or needed for dispute resolution).
  • Usage data and analytics: generally retained for up to 12 months.
  • Support content: generally retained for up to 6 months.
  • Uploaded photos/inputs for one-time AI name generation: deleted promptly after processing is completed.

12) Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict/object, and withdraw consent (where applicable).

To exercise your rights, email us at junievitia523@outlook.com. We will respond within 5 business days (or within the timeframe required by applicable law). We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling certain requests.

13) Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version and update the effective date. Continued use of the Services after changes become effective means you accept the updated policy.
